Healthcare Benefits

The level of cost per employee depends upon the level of coverage chosen by each employee. For example, the highest medical cost ($13,697.84) for a teacher would be for a teacher who has a taxpayer-provided policy that covers his or her entire family. Currently, teachers contribute 7%-10% of the cost of these medical premiums. The norm in the private sector is 25% - 50% employee contribution.
